Update on October 13th, 2021:

Effective November 15, 2021, all ABES Community Members must be Fully Vaccinated to attend ABES campus. ABES Community Members must confirm that they are Fully Vaccinated by providing ABES their Alberta   Vaccine Record which can be obtained online at:

Fully Vaccinated means having received all required doses of Covid-19 vaccines and allowing 14 days to elapse since the final dose where required for full efficacy.

ABES will consider exemptions to this Policy for any ABES Community Member who cannot become Fully Vaccinated due to a medical reason or for a reason related to a protected ground set out in the Alberta Human Rights Act. Requests for exemptions and/or accommodation under this Policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Approved exemptions and/or accommodations will be required to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test administered within 72 hours of the visit to campus.

ABES College is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all individuals who are on campus. ABES has a responsibility to protect all students, employees and the community in which it operates. In light of the continued threat of the COVID-19 virus, the fact that immunization against COVID-19 is understood to be the most effective means of preventing the spread of COVID-19, COVID-19 outbreaks on campus and the severe consequences of contracting COVID-19, ABES is making vaccinations mandatory. This Policy is intended to maximize COVID-19 vaccination rates on ABES campus as a critical control measure against the hazard of COVID-19.

ABES reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue this Policy in its sole discretion at any time in light of new information, new recommendations from health or legal experts, or changes in local, provincial or federal regulations. ABES will continue to assess, and if appropriate, implement any additional reasonable measures that it determines will have a positive impact on health and safety on campus, on an on-going basis.
